My love for the arts began at a very early age. By the age of 7, I had taught myself to create detailed pencil drawings and later learned ceramics, photography, oil and acrylic painting. In the late 70’s, I began my career in IT which has continued for 45 years.
A few years ago, my love for art was revitalized after attending a painting and card-making class. With the 2019 Covid pandemic, I spent most of my time after work focusing on developing new skills. I took virtual Painting Classes, but really pursued my interest in engraved acrylics. As my skills improved, people started asking me to make custom gifts and cards. This past year, I have really spent time honing my skill for creating these custom engravings. I feel my artistic and programming background has really helped me create these masterpieces.
I decided to start my own small business to take my artistic abilities to the next level and focus on bringing new ideas and products to life. My goal is to create small pieces of art for people of all ages. I’ve gotten a lot of custom requests since learning how to take a high-quality photo and convert them into engravable images. Many requests originally came from car enthusiasts or members of car clubs. However, since I can now convert almost any high-quality photo of a Loved One, Family, Wedding Couple, Pet, etc., I have received requests for just about any special occasion. These engravings are turned into a piece of artwork which can be enjoyed for years to come. I have created many other designs (e.g., Holiday, Baby, Birthday, Seasons, etc.) which are also engraved into acrylic. Currently, these engravings are available in two variations. The engraved acrylics can be put into a color-changing LED base which includes a Remote Control with 16 static color choices and 4 color-changing transitions. The second non-color option puts the engraved acrylics into a Magnetic Acrylic Photo Block for display on a desk, shelf, mantle, etc. Samples of these can be found in the shop. My mission is to always take care of the customer and produce an exceptional handcrafted masterpiece! I have an exceptional gift for transforming the vaguest ideas and descriptions into a beautiful and meaningful piece of artwork, which both giver and recipient appreciate. Boo – Official Mascot/Office Manager
Born in September of 2021, Boo was found abandoned in the street on a cold and rainy Halloween-Eve, 2021. She was only 12oz when found, was very sick with Conjunctivitis and an Upper Respiratory Infection. Slowly we were able to nurse her back to health and today she is healthy and thriving.
She can always be found by my side. She helps us fill orders by playing with the paper, ribbons, climbing in boxes or just lying around. I even caught her in the middle of the night on the computer working away. Boo does maintain a nice work life balance by sleeping 10-12 hours a day, playing with her toys and keeping an eye on the birds outside. But if I need help, she is always underfoot and ready to pitch in.
